North of SW 59th, through Knob Hill, Reding's Rancho Village and up to about SW 33rd, the reported hail was smaller, up to 0.75 inch. Hail that size rarely damages a roof in good shape, though it can dent gutters, vents and air conditioner fins.
What to look for from the ground
Hail of 1 inch and up can bruise shingles without leaving anything you can see from the driveway. These are the clues that it is worth a closer look:
- Shingle granules collecting in gutters or at the bottom of downspouts
- Fresh dents on gutters, downspouts, roof vents or air conditioner fins
- Dark spots on shingles where the granules were knocked off
- Dings on a metal mailbox, light fixture or the cars that were parked outside
Please don't climb up there yourself. More on this in How to Tell If Hail Damaged Your Roof, and if trucks start knocking on doors, read Storm Chasers vs. Local Roofers in Oklahoma City before you sign anything.

How a free hail inspection works
Jack McBride lives and works in the Oklahoma City metro, and he will be here next season too. There is nothing to sign on the day.
- 01
Free inspection
We get on the roof, photograph everything, and tell you plainly whether you have damage worth filing on. Plenty of roofs come through fine, and we will say so.
- 02
Photos and a written report
Whatever we find, you get the photos. If there is damage, you file with your insurance company with a report in hand rather than a guess.
- 03
We meet the adjuster
We walk the roof with your adjuster so the damage is seen the same way by both sides, and nothing gets missed on the scope.
- 04
Repair or replace, done right
Premium materials, an owner-led crew, and a daily cleanup. Then a final walkthrough together before we call it finished.
