A residential roof is a system, not a product. The shingles are the part you can see from the street, but what determines whether the roof lasts twenty years or eight is everything underneath: the decking, the underlayment, the flashing at every penetration, the ventilation in the attic, and the fastener pattern holding it all down.
Most roof failures in Oklahoma are installation failures rather than material failures. A premium shingle nailed too high fails just as fast as a cheap one. That is the reason ClimaTek is owner-led. Jack McBride is on the roof for the inspection and on site for the install, so the details that decide the roof's lifespan are not delegated to whoever was available that week.
What a residential roofing project involves
Every job starts with a free inspection. We get on the roof, look at the attic where we can, and photograph what we find. Then you get a written proposal with real product names, real colors, and a real number.
If your roof has years left in it, we will tell you that. A repair that buys you five more years is a better outcome for you than a replacement you did not need, and we would rather have the referral.
The systems we install
- Asphalt shingles, including impact-rated products that stand up better to hail
- Standing-seam and exposed-fastener metal, for longevity and wind performance
- Tile, where the home and the structure call for it
- Seamless gutters and micro-mesh guards, so water leaves the roof and clears the foundation
Where we work
ClimaTek is based in Oklahoma City and works the metro every week: Yukon, Edmond, Moore, Mustang, Norman, and the surrounding communities. We also travel for qualified roofing projects elsewhere in Oklahoma.
Common questions
How long does a residential roof replacement take?+
Most homes are a one to two day job once materials are on site. Larger or steeper roofs, or ones where we find decking that needs replacing, can run longer. We tell you the expected timeline in the written proposal rather than after we have started.
Do I need to be home during the work?+
No. Plenty of our customers are at work while the roof goes on. We will walk the property with you at the start and at the end, and you will have Jack's number the entire time.
How do I know if I need a full replacement or just a repair?+
Age, the extent of the damage, and whether the decking underneath is sound. A roof with isolated damage on one slope is often a repair. A roof that is at the end of its service life, or that has damage across multiple slopes, is usually better replaced. The free inspection is how we tell the difference.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. ClimaTek is registered with the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board under license OK80007612 and carries insurance. Ask any roofer for both before you let them on your property.
